化合物简介
木糖(化学式:C5H10O5)是一种戊醛糖,为白色细针状结晶或结晶性粉末。可溶于水和温热乙醇,不溶于乙醚,有还原性、右旋光性和变旋现象。略有特殊气味和爽口甜味,甜味相当于蔗糖的0.4倍。D-木糖以多糖的形式天然存在于植物中,可以从黑木耳或农产品废弃物(如棉桃的外皮,玉米的秸秆、穗轴)中提取。

生产方法及用途
生产方法
将玉米芯放入稀硫酸中进行水解,用氢氧化钡中和,过滤、浓缩、脱色,通过离子交换柱后再浓缩,然后倒入无水乙醇中结晶,过滤,即得纯品。反应式如下: 通常的制备方法有中和法、离子交换脱酸法、电渗析脱酸法、结晶法、连续水解层析分离法等。其中中和法与离子交换脱酸法是成熟的工艺路线。

1.用作生化试剂,如生物培养基的配制。
2.为无热量甜味剂,适用于肥胖症患者和糖尿病患者,也是制酱色的原料及香料原料。
